From: Rick Mead [poppa_mead@yahoo.com] Sent: Monday, February 05, 2001 6:33 AM To: tradewars_2002@yahoogroups.com Subject: [tradewars_2002] Trade Wars 2002 Official Press Release - teamEIS Epic Interactive Strategy (EIS) would like to announce the next phase in the Trade Wars 2002 / TWGS development. We are currently working on the final text addition release as well as a new, modern graphical remake. The tentative release date for this is sometime in the year 2002. This will be a "rebirth" of Trade Wars 2002. We are sure that you in the Trade Wars community are aware that Realm Interactive is in the process of releasing a MMPOG called Trade Wars: Dark Millennium™. While EIS will be working closely with Realm on their new release, these two releases are completely separate in both scope and style. The similar dates of announcements are purely coincidental. Some of the glaring differences between the games are that Realm's Dark Millennium (TW-DM) is a MMPOG with new game play and strategies following a new line of evolution of the game. Their game will be a complete 3d interaction that has new feels and game play standards. The New Trade Wars 2002 will be a graphical release that will remain true to the feel and game play of the current game as well as remaining a user-hosted game as it is now. This will allow for the current option of running your own games with the same style of setup flexibility available as with the text version. More details will be posted as the project moves forward. For now we are ready to start the development stages of the game and the forming of team EIS. If you have any questions concerning the project please contact : tw2002_project@yahoo.com Also visit the team EIS homepage at http://www.eisonline.com the team website is currently under construction it should be up in a few days.... team EIS is also looking for people from the current Trade Wars community to become involved in the project. We have some intern/volunteer positions open on the team, if you would like to be a part of the future of Trade Wars 2002 look through the following positions. These positions can also be found on the team recruitment page of our homepage. If you would like to apply for any of the positions please copy the job name and # into the subject line of an email and send it to: tw2002_project@yahoo.com. Make sure to include as much as possible about your experience and talents. You can attach resumes as .doc or zips. Rick Mead Project Manager team EIS The Trade Wars 2002 Project has the following openings available: Please note that while this is a professional project and that the result will be a commercial software release these positions as of now are NON-COMPENSATED. What this means is that these are strictly volunteer positions. The goal of this team is to create a playable game that can be shopped to publishers. If at sometime the financial rewards of this project or any project that results from it warrant EIS to employ these or other positions, the team members of this project would of course get first consideration.
