Hello Hell Razor,

You said earlier you want help and tips how to act as a sysop. Then
take this advise. Never battle with someone in an open forum.
If someone takes it there make sure you get it away from there.

Second if you where found to be in error you give an excuse then DROP
the case.

Third after you given an excuse in a public forum DROP the case don't
go on ranting and raving and keep on attacking people.

Fourth don't try to tell other people what to do or how they done
things. That only leads to enemies or more flaming and fighting.

Fifth. A lot of the people in tw2002@egroups are flock animal and
don't hesitate to defend their leader or one in their flock. So if
your an outsider don't bother trying to attack someone inside the
flock because that will only get you the entire heard on your ass.

Sixth. Never argue with someone that isn't willing to listen (read
Grazhoppa AKA lynzeeluv69)

Seventh. If someone has written a piece of software and you claim to
have gotten info from the software be correct in your statements.
Don't add self written stuff to it. Like the thingie with the IP addy
where you had added possible (but misspelled) then you try to say it
was from the tmp file. Part of it might have been if you post things
from a software do NOT add your own comments to it or make SURE you
tell people that you have added comment since everyone expect that the
thing you posted was taken straight from the log unedited (edit things
is a bad thing only makes you look bad).
So this what was put you on the wrong foot with eleq saying that the
thing was from his program taken form the temp file (which it really
wasn't it was edited afterhand by you part of it). This irritated Eleq
since that is not the way his program prints it even in the log file
and he tell you so and then you attack him for maybe it's not you who
wrote it.

Eight. In an argument with someone never attack and question things
like with Eleq. Esp when you have edited the test output yourself even
if it was only to add the comment possible.


Eleq is an asshole and big jerk if you choose to argue with him. So
don't bother.

Lynzeeluv69 loves to fight so don't even bother with here. Most of the
people in here already have her in their filters. I had her old addy
in my filter. If you can't read her posts without replying I suggest
you create a filter that deletes her posts. She's a bitch and if she
gets a chance to pick a fight with someone (just anyone) she will over
the slightest thing.

Hekate she's also a bitch from time to time. Most of the time she's
pretty nice. But for some reason she has something for Eleq and you
put him down in any way she will be on your case big time.

As for attacking and claiming someone is a dupe. Do your homework
first not afterwards. If someone once or twice comes from the same
addy as someone else they might be friends or something that don't
make them dupes.
If I don't understand you right they have to give you e-mail addy to
you before they can play in your games ?
Then if you think you have a dupe cross ref if the ip that the dupe
used is owned by the same ISP that the e-mail address is originating
from. This case the dupe came from RoadRunner and the e-mail addy for
this guy was not with road runner.
Unless you see a LOT of dupes coming in or something wait until you
have made sure about duping. Don't jump to conclusions.
It has happen that accounts been hacked and I'm not sure what version
your using but in an earlier version it was possible to uncloak a
player or drop him out of the citadel (and possible to get it to show
in the logs what it he came from).
What you did was telnet into the game enter this users nick enter game
when prompted for password disconnect. This would fool TWGS to think
the player logged on and uncloak or bump him of the planet he was on.
It also posted in the logs what IP this player came from. So if this
cheater was playing in the game you would all a sudden see that this
other player was duping..
It's fixed in .33 and above that I'm sure of. But still there might be
other bugs still. So before you jump to conclusions that someone is
duping talk with him. If he is doing massive dupes then just ban his
ass and confront him and tell him that the ban is not lifted until he
can show proff or tell why he was duping.


Dupes are a hassle I know. But still sometimes something very simple
and explainable can be behind the "dupe". Heck he might even have
given his corpie his pw for some reason. If you want to make sure then
state a rule that sharing PW's is NOT acceptable and will be
considered as duping.

This post below is a BAD post after your post "[tw2002] I owe The
Ghost aka Cyrus this".
This new post will (and did) only put new fuel on the fire you had put
out with your make up post to The Ghost.

One thing had been to send this message in a PRIVATE e-mail to Hekate
and GH. But a really bad move to post to a public forum.
Misstakes like this will only put you on peoples shitlist (which you
was on with a lot of people from the last time you was involved in a
fight in tw2002@egroups a while back).
People here have a LONG memory and little forgiveness. You make one
misstake and they will come back for you for it for a long time.
Once your on their shitlist it will require a lot to get of it. Poor
manors or plain accusations will make sure you stay on it and most
likely get more people to add you to their shitlist.

You ask for advise and help. I given you so. You may take it or you
may leave it.
If you insist on doing frontal assults like you done so great so far I
will have to put you in my filters because I have no interrest to read
all this silly fights since all they do is make people go off on each
others. Chill out don't argue with people that will not listen or
argue with people that wants to argue and pick fights.

If you want direct help from someone like in eleq's case e-mail in
privately. If you want help in general then use egroups but leave out
personal attacks since they just pisses people of and will just start
a war and you didn't get the help you asked for.
If you think someone might be a dupe and want help about it ask but
leave names out of it as much as possible.

Well I'm gonna stop here. Hope you listened to me. If you want to
flame me go ahead (I know where the delete key is and have a great
e-mail client with great filter capabilites). You bring it to public
then you will just once more show bad manors and people will most
likely try to cut your head of (and don't expect any posts from me
trying to defend myself because I will not because there isn't
anything that needs to be defended).

Thanks for your time. Hope you at least will consider some of these
advises.
