August 21, 1998 at 11:27:26 Since I started exploring evil tactics about a year ago, this is what i've come up with. This is ONLY for MBBS v2.03 and v2.03a (as I have not played the older versions in years) If any part of this information turns up incorrect I apologize, and Please post corrections. This is MY findings, based on actual input from players and game play over the past year! I in no way am affiliated with Martech or HVS, nor am I a programer. * All ports clear every 14 days (clearing the first day of next cycle) This means that ALL BUSTS are cleared that nights cleanup and ready to go days:(15, 29, 43...) (ability to return to yesterdays (day 14) bust) If you bust on day 14, ALL are cleared at Extern and you may return to your last busted port * All but your last bust are cleared at cleanup (do not return to your last busted port the following day) * A "stupid bust" can simply be cleared by port and thievery at another port. You may then return to your "stupid" busted port and continue on with sst etc. "stupid bust" = returning to your last thievery port and trying agin, thereby busting for being remembered * Busts are remembered for the day! Only rarely have I not rebusted at a port after someone tried to clear it for me. * Directly after a bust you may port and trade (90% of the time)to reload ship of goods. but do NOT return to port if you move to another sector * You still bust using MegaRob. Your chances are the same as normal exp setting rates. * Busts are influenced by the "moon" or "colo change over" I dont know the moon function...never figured that one out Colonist cycle every 30 days (30, 32, 42, 44) Busting is found more often the 2 days before and after colo cycle change days: 30 colos death cycle begins day : 32 Death cycle evident day : 42 Growth cycle starts day : 44 Growth cycle evident day : 60 Death cycle starts so days 38-32 and 38-44 are high busting days * Bust rate is lowest the first 3 days of the new port cycle (15-18, 29-31, etc.) * Bust rate is Higher the end of the port cycle (10-14, 24-28, etc.) * Busts are completely random! But if you study the cycles, you will function accordingly, therefor understanding why or why not your busting so much, or getting away with things. * SST level is found to adjust on a sliding scale (getting away with more at lower exp) many of us in MBBS push these levels! and different things work for different people! common practice is Exp/20 But many of us have improved upon this and push limits we use as much ase exp/12 (or less) under 1500exp exp/12+1 for each 500 there after Full hold SST in colts at 4000 exp * SDT use the same rates as SST but does not sell to port. Average SDT per port is around 3000 holds Equip If you SDT say 2700 holds from 2 ports to planets, then sell back *using a different ship* you can resume I have worked upto 7 cycles of 2600-3000holds on 2 ports before bust * Rob common settings are Exp X 7 if you very this to 6.5-7.3 you'll do ok Once onhand falls below your Exp X 7 (or so) then standard usage is Onhand X 1.111 I have perfected this...WHY use 1.111 if the port reads 90% of onhand creds? Figures I Use: To be max proficient (and I find I bust less) use the figure Exp/.9 this will clear the port within 5creds of onhand, a LARGE profit at higher experience..you do the math! (stay tuned for future helpers using this figure) * Robbing 75creds from a port (think its under 100) you do not lose exp., alignment, or holds if you bust. I hope this helps out future Evils. I also hope this will assist John in understanding the changes and comparasians ============================= Align in MBBS mode – attacking of sector fighters Align * .0001 = alignment change per 1 fig in opposit direction Good align = 227991 - attack 10 personal figs for -227 align drop Evil align = 4499999 - attack 10 personal figs for 4499 align up ==============================
