The Tradewars WWW Forum Is now up! This is a new Web forum which does not require Forums, Java, and the like. Finally, all of you Lynx lovers, (I’m one of them) have something we’re not left out of. 🙂 Hats off to Gypsy and his War Room for pulling off such a feat.

Stories’ Guidelines coming soon

I’m sorry for not finishing the Stories’ Guidelines yet. But unfortunatelly, I’ve had two tests this week: 1 in Trig and 1 in Biology that have been eating up all my time. With some luck, I’ll have it done this weekend.

Showdown Friday at FEN

Nik’s Tradewars heaven Will be releasing a TradeWars Screen saver today! According to Nik, it will be posted on his page at 6:00 PM Tonight. He gave me a copy to put up myself before then, but he sent it to me UUencoded, and I’ve been having trouble downloading it from the University so I can transfer it to .ZIP. Guess you’ll have to wait till Nik puts it up. 🙂 The File Size is 800k.

Stories coming soon I’m almost finished with the latest story in the Snake Saga. It should be premiering Tommorrow or Wedsday. I’ll also be adding guidelines so that you guys can submit your own stories, so starting thinking about them now! FEN announces Re-bang Date

Family Entertainment Network has announced their new Re-bang date! It’s set for Febuary 14th, Valentine’s day at 10:00am CST! So now you guys can explain to your Girl friends why your playing tradewars instead of spending the day with them!

There will be a meeting in the teleconfrence prior to the bang, to discuss last minute settings. New MBBS Tradewars .DLL

Aparently, a new .DLL has been released for MBBS TW. Acording to Jake, this is a BETA .DLL, and FEN looks like it’s going to be beta testing this version. It looks like this beta >SHOULD< fix the god awfull Fed-com bleed, along with the Caping ships at SD bug. I’m still not certain if this Beta is available to the public. If you know wether it is or isn’t, drop me a line please.

MPB.COM holds “HellWeek”

Nik’s Trade Wars 2002 Heaven

Nik has revamped this Original TW site, and Renamed it Nik’s Tradewars Heaven. Right now, many of the things planned for the site are not yet up, as Nik is on vacation. But I do find it odd that they have a Tradewars Yellow Pages. Is Nik trying to put me out of buisness? 🙂

Fament to reset soon.

Family Entertainment is set to rebang their game soon. The current game apparently has been won my Mav, and fament is looking to rebang as soon as the new .DLL for tradewars MBBS comes out this week. (There will be a one week warning before the game starts.) We’ll tell you when it happens.

I thought I had seen the end of Flamewars about Tradewars when I was no-longer able to play on BBSs, but a new flame war has begun between Gypsy and Zoobar. I’ve put all the related posts that both have made on Family entertainment and put them here. My personal views are also in there. If your wondering why I’m putting this on the site, read it and then you’ll understand better.

NavBar Added

I’ve added a new Navigation Bar at the bottom of my pages now. I’ve so far, only implemented it here and the listings pages so far. It’ll lead to you to everywhere on this page, and a few other places. It’s been up for a few days already, but it had broken links. I’ve (Hopefully) fixed those. If you find more, please tell me.

Famnet Resets

Family Entertainment reset their TW game not too long ago. The reason this wasn’t covered was because this was a spur of the moment reset. The reason is because of the amazingly large amount of dupes people were using. According to the Gameop, 43 dupes were delt with in only two weeks. God Help us.

Just want to wish you all a Happy 1998. Since ’97 is over, I’m compiling the best and worst things to happen to TW in ’97. For Example, the worst thing to happen to a BBS is bbs.paul.com going down. I’m in need of some sugestions, so please mail me them!

Rippers is open!

For those of you that forgot, Rippers is now on-line! The Current TW game there features an 800 turn game with some twists. As said before, I’m playing there under the TW name of “PaRappa the Rapper.” Just remember that there is

Gypsy Redesigns war room!Shockwaves Were sent through the state of Arizona Wedsday morning as The phenomenon known as “Gypsy updates page” which was first covered December 18th, reached it’s height. As reported before, This rare phenomenon which happens once every 1,000 years seems to have subsided, but not before All of Arizona was left in ruins. Besides destroying all the buildings in Arizona, it also seems to have bestowed proper grammer on Gypsy’s page.

A local Arizonian, Eleqtrizi’T, said, “It’s a good thing he overhauled it. If I saw that Javascript message and those flames one more time, I was going to scream! Excuse me now while I start re-building my house that was just destroyed.”

But seriously, Gypsy’s War room looks 1000x better than it did before, although Gypsy still has those damn flaming skulls. 🙂

Rippers to Reset January 1st

Bbs.Rippers.com, Once one of the largest Tradewars BBSs that was crushed by it’s own weight, is back! It’s now telnetable only now, in the tradition of Stardock BBS, and the Sysop no longer has to worry about being an ISP.

CDK re-does web page

Liquid Crystal (CDK) has informed me that he has redone his The Beginner’s Guide to Trade Wars 2002. It’s mostly enchanced for Netscape v4.0, so his old page is still available at the same address. Also, CDK’s page has been asked to join the Tradewars 2002 Web Ring.

War BrewingIn more amusing things happening today, Cruncher is currently in war with Jake to see who can get the most pictures of Tradewars players. What makes this funny is that this war has no point! Cruncher gets a new picture which is immediately stolen by Jake and vice versia. If you take a look at Cruncher’s page, you might find a picture of me with my friend Karen. (Soon to appear on Jake’s page also, I’m sure.)

Tradewars 2002 Web Ring

For those of you who have noticed, a Tradewars 2002 Web Ring graphic has been at the bottom of my page for about a day or so. Gypsy Just started the TW2002 Web Ring a few days ago, and ten sites were asked to join. (Yours truelly is one of them) If you were invited, your mail should be in it’s box. If not, don’t worry.

Gypsy has informed me that new sites can send in applications to join, but will not be considered to join until the “founding members” have been assembled and gotten a few things squared away. The reason behind this is that the Web Ring will only have high Quality sites as part of it’s ring. These are the known sites that were asked to join:
