As some of you may well know, eGroup.com was purchased by Yahoo! back in August. Well they finally have everything converted over it seems. For those of you that haven’t already you will need to proceed to the site to convert your eGroups account into a Yahoo! account. Fuseblown wanted some “air time” to respond to my article so I granted his request. Follows is his thoughts on his plans for his website:

“I don’t want to sound like I’m making excuses for everything that I have been trying to do recently–and have failed to do so–but it may sound like that anyway. I feel that I should give some sort of an explanation to the visitors of my Trade Wars site, TRADEWARS.WS.

I realize I should not have announced the redesign of the web site per Timberwolf’s advice on TWGazette.com. My main plan was to take down the old design and just put up the splash page until the new design was done so that I didn’t have to worry about posting news on a regular basis and try to get the redesign done at the same time.

Wham, bam, things happened (as they always seem to do) and at the moment I’m juggling four web sites at work and four at home, NOT including TRADEWARS.WS and the other subsequent sites that go along with it (TWPA, etc.). Obviously my work takes priority over my personal endeavors and I just haven’t had the time to get the redesign finished to my liking.

For now, what I am going to do is take my previous design out of the closet, dust it off, and relaunch it. I will update news as often as I can and the site will probably be ‘toned down’ a bit from when you last saw it. Gradually, as time allows, things will come together and you will see a new face on TRADEWARS.WS, but not for a little while.

I’m made an article covering the events that happened over at Silver Wings over this past holiday weekend. Read it. Christmas really does bring out the best in people doesn’t it?

If your wondering why it wasn’t posted yesterday like I promised, that’s due to my adventures of trying to find a TV. Go ahead, laugh at my pain.

Well It looks like The players who participated in December’s TW League game got a great Christmas Gift: They no longer have a place to play! I’m still scrounging through the egroups finding what I need, but it looks like the case of a sysop on a power trip. Full report tommorrow.

Well some people have been doing a little bit of work with their TW sites recently despite the upcoming holidays. Bad Girl’s page is starting to roll in full force now. Also, Cruncher has redesigned the look of her main page. Kitty Moon changed the look and layout of her site back near the beginning of the month. It looks smashing as well. I also want to thank Tweety for adding me to the Boo! Inc. web site. Good work folks!

The current league game hosted at Silver Wings TWGS has been taken down and destroyed. I’m not going to comment on this personally…I’m sure most of you know what I would say anyway. So if you’ve been trying to connect today and couldn’t, now you know why. Check out the TWLeague eGroup if you want more detail.

Electrizi’T, the leader of his own cult, has decided to move the Home Sector to linux. It will now be running using Andrew “Linux Guy” Wyatt’s FusionGS to give it a more BBS feel. Tradewars will be unaffected, but you’ll have access to extra things such as possibly other games and a teleconfrence.

Great, just what I need. Another linux freak who will sit around for hours discusing the finer points about how User Friendly is greatest work of satrical writing since the great bard Shakespear put quill to parchment. At least I get a teleconfrence out of the deal.
