That’s right! Few minor TWGS changes have been made in this one. Global admin changes and an attempt to fix problems with the log file. For the actual game (TWv3)…a mail file fix has been made this time around and also changes to the timing of cloak failures! Click here to get the official update from EIS.

EleqTrizi’T was away for a few days and the IP addresses got switched on him when he was unable to do anything about it. Here is his ICQ message:“I apologize to everyone. I was out of town in Vegas since Sunday when the IP changed. You can reach the server at 24.24.152.162 until the domain names catch up…webserver at 24.24.152.154”

The time limit bug seems to have hit again.Someone CBY’d before extern (which occurs at midnight EST) with 5 minutes of game play time left in the day…he came back 10 minutes after extern was done running and his daily time limit had NOT reset. He still had 5 minutes or less left to play for all of today. The time should have reset after extern.

Thought this was fixed??

Anyway, John Pritchett will be notified (we don’t have caps but I can explain it just as good as caps can show), I just wanted to let everyone know who ran/played a daily time-limited game…this could very well be a concern that arises if the problem is still around for the USO (since it is a time-limited game).

When I logged on to play my League turns tonight I saw that Stonewall posted a message on the main menu of The Deep South TWGS that he was purchasing a RAM upgrade with the donations that he has received. Way to go Stonewall! Now that’s what donating is all about, helping out the admins that put these servers up for us to play free-of-charge (well, 95% of the time).If you play on a server and would like to donate to them, check out the Donation List here at TRADEWARS.WS and see if the appropriate server is listed there.

If you run a TWGS system (or even web site, or both..), send me the proper information needed (as found on the Donation List page) and I will put you up there with the others. It’s the least I can do to help out.

There are currently 16 teams signed up for the United States Open 2001 at the present time. If you haven’t already signed up, do so now! If you do not have a team, post a message in one of the many forums out there (there is a link at the bottom of the right-hand column to sign up for the tradewars_2002 eGroup–or Yahoo!Group, which ever you prefer to call it). There are still a few players who have a couple of spots to fill! Time is running out!

Since we’re all from different walks of life (used car salesmen, IT professionals, state representatives in Congress, etc.), it’s always interesting to read things about players that you would have never expected about them.
